What is JustFreeBooks?
It is a search engine that you can use to find free ebooks that can be read or downloaded legally (you only should be cautious of public domain books, because there are countries which have restrictive laws. Check the question number 4).

How JustFreeBooks works?
JustFreeBooks is a search engine powered by Google Custom Search Engine that indexes a list of selected sites and webpages.

Free and legal eBooks? Please, explain this better…
OK. JustFreeBooks searches a list of indexed websites where there are sites that contain public domain books or books whose authors have authorized free distribution (through a Creative Commons license, a GNU Free Documentation License or other method).
In other words, these books are really "free". There are not warez (illegal copies of copyrighted books). If you find a copyrighted book whose author has not allowed its free distribution within JustFreeBooks search results please send an email to contact@justfreebooks.info. JustFreeBooks wants to respect national and international laws.

What is public domain?, is it legal to download public domain books in my country?
Wikipedia said that, “the public domain is a range of abstract materials – commonly referred to as intellectual property – which are not owned or controlled by anyone. The term indicates that these materials are therefore "public property", and available for anyone to use for any purpose [...] Under modern law, most original works of art, literature, music, etc. are covered by copyright from the time of their creation for a limited period of time (which varies by country). When the copyright expires, the work enters the public domain”.
The websites that contain public domain books normally are very conservative at the time of interpret public domain rules, but it is always possible that your country has restrictive laws and if you download from these sites you might be violating your national rules. That's why it is advisable that you check national laws. Where? Start reading this webpage.
