Jomic is a comic book viewer and converter for Mac OS X. This software can be installed on Windows and Linux, but is not user friendly in these operating systems.
Jomic converts like a charm from CBR format to PDF and CBZ. Besides, converts ebooks from PDF to CBZ and supports batch conversion.
How to use this software?
Installing Jomic in Mac OS X: Download the software. Extract the archive and mount the volume contained in it (unless it already happened automatically after the download). Copy the Jomic application to wherever you like. To start the application from the Finder, simply double-click it in the Finder, or drop a comic on the icon.
Installing Jomic in Windows: Download the “Generic installer”. Double-Click the JAR file to install it. Then, go to http://jomic.sourceforge.net/webstart/index.html and click on “Start Jomic!”.
Converting an ebook: Go to the "File" menu and select "Convert...". Press the "Add..." button and find your ebook. Choose an output format (CBZ or PDF). Hit the "..." button and select a target folder. Finally, click on “Convert”.
